Destiny Petrel hit the Bar Lubitsch stage during a WFNM night with a distorted metal walk-on guitar intro. It was like a moment on a Sunset Strip stage. "How are we feeling, guys?" That got some yells from the crowd who packed the venue. What a way to get the blood pumping both for Petrel and the crowd. She then launched into "Trippin In Chanel." It is an unreleased song, but it needs to be released. It started off with a quiet opening -- far different than her intro. Then one knew it was just about to explode. The lyrics got stretched out and the vocals peaked, an indication to her backing band that it was time to blast the ear drums.

Doing my standard research while writing up a blog, I noticed that she used to be in a band with her 2 sisters called PETREL, based in Long Island. She took on guitar duties in that band. The band got to tour with Aaron Carter. At some point, Destiny Petrel moved out to Los Angeles. In 2022, she got to back Alaina Castillo at Coachella.
For "Anti-Social," the song was introduced with Petrel saying, "You can say I was hanging with the wrong crew, people. Not a good place, at all. I just didn't like people. I didn't want to go out. I was antisocial."

Her song "One" had a Hozier blues driven rhythm.
She kept her latest single release "Dirtbag" for the end. The song puts someone on blast. The way she yanked her guitar around, you got the imagery that she didn't really need that "hitman" because she could handle things on her own. She ended the song with some Jimi Hendrix guitar work.
Hope you had your funYou're everybody's favorite
But you're just another undercover
Just a f*ckin dirtbag

Throughout the set, one could tell via her eyes that she was enjoying her time on stage. It also helped that, as she said, had a variety of friend circles showing up to support her as well as her family. She mentioned that life these days is all too stressful and in some ways too much. Her music definitely relieved some of that stress.
Setlist: Trippin In Chanel, Guilt Trip, Pipe Down, Anti-Social, One, Dirtbag.
