Gretchen Klempa split her set at Zebulon into two. Her first three songs were from a previously released album called Human Nature. The next three songs were new songs. Then she ended the set with Dogbite that her fans recognized with cheers.

Her set opened up with the indie pop song "Back Home." The song has a brisk pace to get the legs dancing. Next up was the song I'd like to put the spotlight on called "A Little Bit." The song is described in an Instagram post as being about: a song about the process of healing the mind, body, and soul.

How do the lyrics fit in with that holistic trio? Here's how I am categorizing a few of the lyrics:
Mind: I'm reading books before bed
Body: Take my vitamins every morning
Soul: Strip down to nothing but a thong
The song has a contemporary jazz touch. It reminders me of early Norah Jones. The song is about taking care of those three pillars during a breakup, "I can't let you go." Klempa sings with dreamy vocals while playing the keys. The song highlights the beauty that a guitar slide can add to a song.
Her vocals hit the dream sequence once again in the third song of the set called "Another Face In The Crowd." Wow. Of the new songs, "Touch Me" had her providing a bit of clarification at the end for those who might take the song as an open invitation, "That's a statement, not an invitation."
When the set ended, friends came over to the stage to offer their praise.
I scanned through her Instagram page and realized that she is friends with musicians that I've followed across the years. To highlight would be Chelsea Brown (Chelsea Rose) and Justine Brown (easylove). Let's just say that I might be one of the few people currently hanging out in the LA music scene who fondly remembers a band called Summer Twins that paired the two sisters together.
